A Year of Favour!
We’ve had an amazing time at R-HoP this year and God has been so faithful to us as we have seen many prayers answered.
As usual speakers came from far and wide. We began the term praying for Israel - a time led by Rabbi Fleischer. Chief Inspector Maria Fox talked about the police and how we can pray for our own police force. We also had a meeting with one of Rugby’s Community Inspectors who now regularly send us information about particular areas we need to pray for.
Our good friends Martin Scott, Jenny Watson, Sue Sinclair and Sharon Stone came and talked on subjects such as prophesy, strategic intercession and praying for the community.
We also prayed for Europe, the persecuted church, our schools and education and many other things. This last term we particularly turned our prayer attention back to Rugby, praying for the town, local elections and the church.
As a result of Dr, Sharon Stone’s visit we began to pray through the watches of the night. These proved to be precious times when God really did draw close to us. We will be having more prayer watches next year! We also orgsanised, with Rugby Youth for Christ our first 48hop (see report for details).
Jehoshaphat Day
In December 2005 we met together with prayer teams from Liverpool and Burton on Trent to pray for Warwickshire. We had a great day of spiritual warfare as we contended for the county.
Psalm Drummers
We had a fun time as the Psalm Drummers came to lead a workshop of 50 people in prophetic drumming.
Jesus Culture
In April this year we welcomed a team of 25 young people from Bethel Church, California. As part of their visit we helped to host the Jesus Culture Youth Conference and saw an invasion of 150 young people praying on the streets of Rugby.
As we look back over this third year we know that our God has been so faithful and has heard the prayers of His people.
