A Long Time!
It seems such a long time since we’ve posted a newsletter so...here is some of the news. God has done so much more with us than we can write here but here is a glimpse of what has been happening.
Still Here....Still Praying...Still Answers!
In September this year we will have reached our 7th birthday and for the last six years of meeting we have seen God answer our prayers in amazing ways. For example, we have been praying that God would send His healing power on to the streets of Rugby and in October 2009 people gathered in one of the local churches to be trained to take healing out on to the streets of Rugby. There is now a Healing on the Streets team who pray for people in the town centre every Saturday morning.
We have also been praying for a particular area in Rugby and the closing down of the Lap Dancing club. This area is now being made into a residential area and the Lap Dancing club has closed down - praise God!
We have seen many more answers to prayer both nationally and regionally.
Connections
Over the last 3 years we have strengthened our connections with friends in Jerusalem and the U.S. Martin and Norma Sarvis and John and Una Gere from Houses of Prayer in Jerusalem have spent time with us, praying and speaking at various events. John and Una prayed over us and poured water from the Gihon Spring (Ezekiel 47) into our well (found in our building 4 years ago!) as a sign of connection with Israel and that from the House of Prayer healing waters would flow. Martin and Norma Sarvis encouraged us, as a remnant, to press in and not give up. It was great to worship with them both.
Some of us also visited some of the Houses of Prayer in Jerusalem early last year and a team will be going out again in June this year.
In June 2008 we hosted the first Bethel Sozo meeting in the UK. As a result of this Edward and Helen Quicke were commissioned as the Bethel Sozo UK representatives. It took them by surprise yet they have been faithful in this work and have seen this ministry grow amazingly over the past 2 years.
Doing the Work
In 2009 we had four weeks of Harp and Bowl training. This has resulted in many more people leading us in prayer and we now use this model in our Tuesday Intercession meetings.
In March this year some of us visited the local Mosque to meet our “ Muslim neighbours” and we continue to pray into this area.
In May 2009 and 2010 we set up a coffee and prayer stall at our local Spring Fair. This year we served over 500 people with free coffee and tea and were able to pray for some and had good conversations with others.
Our Vision
We still long to see the prayer room opened more often and we continue to pray for God to raise up the Watchmen in Rugby and the Nation.
To Him be all the Glory!!
