Rugby is a good place to go to pray.
There is an openness in the heavenlies and the angelic is very active. The receptivity to the prophetic is also very high.
Known for the public school, its cement and as the birthplace of its namesake, Rugby has a reputation that goes around the world. It is also a place of great innovation and creativity. The jet engine was developed here and the first street gas lamp in the nation originated in Rugby. The ease with which the Lord drew near as we worshipped all indicated that this is very clearly a Sardis type of city.

Sardis: the City of Mercy
Sardis known for its creativity and music! It was a “happening” place. Had great influence.
Conquered because it didn’t watch!

City of great tolerance – i.e. Mercy without truth.

Mercy Cities have a gifting which enables them to take what is happening and significantly develop it. Sardis has the ability to birth new things.

Sardis type cities need to hold on to a strong faith that Jesus is building the church and therefore must have a strong prophetic element to them.

The significant contribution of Sardis type cities will be the ability to communicate the mercy of God and to encourage the church to think out of the box. It will be a place that will manifest the fullness of the Spirit. Creativity should be at the heart of the church.

Fullness means that all the people of God will be empowered not some elite leadership.

Surface Strongholds
• A stranglehold of creative gifts
• Tendency for one expression of church to claim to have the Spirit
• A teaching on grace that ignores the need for discipline.
• Inability to complete what has begun so perseverance is important in this place
• Over focus on the past so need to have living stories not past testimonies. Should be a “restlessness” in the people of God to continually press in for something new
• Passivity/sleepiness/apathy is a major issue.
• Compromise.

Redemptive Giftings
Place that helps everyone find their destiny and sense of belonging. Even when people have felt that they’ve not fitted elsewhere – here they can develop their calling and significance. This is particularly true for those who are creative and have gifts of innovation.

Wells of prayer and the prophetic can be opened up here for whole areas and for nations. It’s a place of refreshing with copious amounts of the Spirit to be drunk from.

A place willing to do things that haven’t been though of before. Ability to break patterns – this is essential if the church is to break out to a new level. These cities do not repeat what has gone before but demonstrate that boundaries can be broken.

A night city:
Watch and pray will be a significant part of the task especially praying in the night hours. In line with the night element Sardis type places will be conducive to revelation coming to people in dreams.

Promises
A remnant will be enough
Jesus calls for the few to turn the city around. Numbers are not the key but holiness/cleanliness is.
Heavenly authority given but “the few” need to have a clear sense of their own identity – they need to know their inheritance. Angels will also know the names of the few so angelic activity would be expected in these places.

A significant sign of turn-around in these places is when spiritually here comes the “feel” of freedom to breathe and the lack of oppression; symbolically it will often be marked by the release of new property.

Prayer:
So we call you wonderful cities of mercy to arise. You have such a well to tap into and we want to encourage you to do the things that have not been done before. Be unashamed at developing what has been done elsewhere, and show it can be taken to new dimensions. You can open up the rich wells of creativity, you can release dreams and dreamers. Our God has never been boring, so come on show us this God who is alive.

A New Sound
What is that unique sound that God is calling us to make, what is that sound that you in rugby are already making? A very English sound. We are confused as English men and women as to who we are….what is the true sound of England? Even as you were worshipping now there was a sense of a sound being made that is uniquely English…

It’s a privilege to be here, to hear something of that truly English sound that is beginning to rise up from you.

Mums and Dads
Rugby is blessed with many mums and dads – we have many guardians but not many mums and dads.

Rugby is a safe place for the people of God to come. People who have been pushing and holding through for the deeper things of God…those who have gone to the edge need those places to come back to where they know they are safe. A place where they can refocus on the sounds that we need to hear and soak ourselves in so we don’t loose our sense of identity of who we are in God…

Mums and dads are safe people – often they don’t have a lot to say but that’s OK. I had a sense that it won’t be in your many words that people are attracted to but by the sound that you are making – they will know that this is a safe place to hang out, to be. There will be a sense of sacred space amongst you that won’t be filled with many words or great ministry sessions or great prophesies or ministries but it will be safe.

Fear of the Lord
I don’t prophesy this usually but I do see large gatherings in Rugby but there will be a different sound about them and they won’t be imported in. The fear of the Lord will be so strong amongst you that nobody will have to fill that sacred space that is there. There will be incredible authority here – diversity but incredible authority that won’t need to be exercised with strong words but just through the presence of many mums and dads.

Angels
I want to say that …I’ve never seen angels, I’ve known them… Stephen (Homer) said 32 years ago, approximately, he saw an angel (in the building) and I have this strange thought that angels too will gather here because they’ve lost touch with the sound that people are meant to make in this nation.

“What is this sound?” I hear them saying, “We don’t understand the sounds that are being made where we’ve been commissioned to be. We’ve got to go and hear the sound again.

I had this sense that there will be an engagement with the angelic realm here that will be very strong and you will begin to get understanding on how the angelic realm operates. You can even hear from my limited words that basically we don’t have a clue how the angelic realm works but we’ve got to get understanding on it because so much of scripture is birthed out of the realm of angels. So, we have to learn to birth things out of the angelic realm where there is a sense of heaven being un-opened and the angels of God ascending and descending, ascending and descending.

I don’t have a clue how you are to pursue this except that there is a sound emerging among you that you must be confident of and there will be a new sound added to it. But there is a sound already being made here – that has also been made in yester year that is allowing the manifestation of angels. We need the manifestation of angels! What a unique gift to have!!

Open Heavens
We see all sound being made and we think, “that’s how to do it” and we feel we must have that sound but heaven and earth only connect when there is that unique sound – and that sound must come through and then you know that something is opening up, something is shifting and changing. There is an access to heaven, in prayer, that wasn’t there before…we haven’t known enough of those moments but somehow the frequency of those moments is increasing.

Distribution Centre
What a good thing to distribute!! Rugby, the distribution centre – we’re going to distribute a few angels, that’s great, isn’t it? Angels have lost their way, they don’t where to go – “Oh, we’ll go to Rugby” – Why? “Because there is a sound we understand in Rugby.”

We can get clued into these peculiar people in England who are so mixed up in their understanding of nationhood – they try to be this, they try to be that but there is a distinct sound that is being made in our nation – it’s the sound of mums and dads and laughter and life and children and parents together and household and family extended in all peculiar ways. A sound of heaven being made and heard.

Home…
Many tourists would say in coming to England – it’s the “homeliness” – it’s the sense of “home” that many are looking for, almost on a pilgrimage of their own – particularly from those from the States. It’s a very homely sound, my Father, that you have given us as a nation to bring to other nations – that sense of safety, security, well being – “all is well with my soul” – “all is well with my soul”. There are so many good people in this world who are troubled in their soul – “all is well with my soul”, – “all is well with my soul – I’ve been to Rugby – all is well with my soul!!”

Steve’s Prayer
We thank You, my Father for that peculiar deposit that is in the soil of this town. We honour you for those already gathered here and we honour you for those things that You have yet to do – that nothing indeed is too difficult for You….

I ask that You would increase the flow of connection here that is between earth and heaven and heaven and earth. I want to thank you that many will come to this town and as they come they will be able to say and sense and know in their hearts…that something is different, something has changed, something is different.

Father, I ask…not only for that wonderful sense of well-being that there is when Your presence draws near but across the town, in the council

Faith and Restoration
…there is such a releasing gift of faith in this place – it’s like a strong birthing gift – not just birthing but a restoration gift. When I came here tonight I really felt the Holy Spirit say that people are going to come and the zeal of their youth is going to be restored to them.

New Things
…We declare that this is the season for wild animals to bow down over Rugby. Wild animals – things that have been so hostile, issues that have been blocking unity – we say bow down. We say over church leaders that have stood to build their own kingdom – we say “No more”. This is a whole new day across this region. Let there be a new season over our land – the cooing of doves – let them be heard in our land. There are new things; we’ve got to see new things.

Open Heavens
…one of the signs (of open heavens) over this place will be an increase in finances. We are not interested in money for money’s sake but we are interested in open heavens…Send the angels Lord so that we will see heaven invade earth

You are standing under and for an open heaven. You are people of faith. Declare open heavens over your home, road, office…an increase of wild animals bowing down.

Pray for greater open heavens but also declare that the heavens are open.

Thank you that this House of Prayer will not be on it’s own but it will spawn others until there are Houses of Prayer all over this land. Declare open heavens here, open gates. God - You have put this place on the map.

I saw black clouds gathering over England but in the dream the Lord made a declaration and He said - “You are not forgotten England, you are not forgotten Great Britain - There is a young royal who has made headlines from nation to nation but I will encounter him who is red and ruddy, the second born of his father and he will walk alongside his brother as Nathan the prophet walked alongside King David. You call him Harry but I call him Jacob and he will lead out a great cry for righteousness in the land.”

In the dream I felt I was peering into the future and I could see these headlines “ Harry, Jesus Freak” “Harry found Religion” and in the natural when you see those headlines it will be for real!

And I saw the leaders of the land walk up the steps of allah and pledge their allegiance to a foreign god and they gave their heart and allegiance for fame, favour, finance and for the “sake of humanity” and they sat on the very floor of the house of allah and they said “My leadership is inevitable and nothing will ever stop it.”. At that phrase I saw the hand of God with this big stamp in bold red letters and He stamped the page and it said “Rejected” And I saw Him begin to stir women (it was Psalm 68) a great company of women who took the word of the Lord and ran with it. It was like watching a movie as the Lord began to stir women and men but specifically women all across Great Britain. And I saw in their houses, in the living room or the dining room they begin to pray for England and Great Britain. The fragrance of their prayers began arising and it began poking holes in the black cloud that is taking over the nation.

I believe this is what God has planned for England. When people say there is no way God has a plan we need to be praying. It’s a great call to prayer and we should pray for these housewives. There were 3-5 gathering at a time - there were men too but there is a call and a stirring on women in Great Britain, in England to pray for their nation and God is going to answer their prayers and it’s going to poke holes in the clouds of black darkness that is trying to take over the land of England.

The women will not be able to let go of their land.

You will go through a time of intense opposition to the gospel and many believers will be in danger as anti-Semitism, humanism and Islamists combine to try to destroy those who put their trust in God. But I will shorten the time for the sake of my people and for the honour of my Name.

There will be three winds that will blow through the land in the near future. The first will be the most ferocious - it will blow through the church and will set brother against brother. The cause of the offence will be Israel. It will be as a rod of offence and a stumbling block upon which many will fall. Only those who hold fast to the Word of God and who understand my purposes will stand. This division among those who are seen to be the church will weaken the witness of the faithful. But those who put their trust in the Lord will be overcomers and will see the glory of the Lord.

The second wind will sweep through the political, economic and social structures of the nation. It will bring many changes and for a time there will be great uncertainty and confusion among leaders, but many who fear the Lord will come to high office in the land and will exercise great influence that will bring relief to my people.

The third wind will sweep through the nation among those who are outside the church. This wind will be the wind of the Spirit that will reach the broken who have been crushed by sin; and young people who are part of the generation that has been denied access to the truth and has not been fathered. There will be a great move of the Spirit of God that will bring new life and draw many into the Kingdom and bring new unity among believers. Those who originate from Africa who once suffered at the hands of Europeans will lead the way. Those who you regarded as coming from darkest Africa will bring the light of life to this land and will be a great blessing.

I saw the British Isles, as in a bird's eye view. A kind of haze was over the whole, like a green fog. And then the pinpricks of light began to appear from the top of Scotland to Land's End. Then the Lord seem to draw me closer to these lights and I saw that they were fires that were burning. They were multiplying from the top of Scotland to Land's End. Then I saw lightening come and strike those fires, the brightest spots particularly, and there was a kind of explosion, and rivers of fire flowed down. Again, the sense of direction was from the top of Scotland to Land's End. But some of those rivers of fire didn't stop there. They went right accross the Channel and spread out into the Continent.

The third time this vision apeared and I figured the Lord was showing me or trying to tell me something. Over the next couple of days the Lord spoke to me very clearly. When I say the Lord spoke to me, I don't mean it was an audible voice but it was a knowing. That strong knowing, like reading at the end of a book and knowing exactly what was going to happen. And you can't change it: it is written. And so it was wriiten on my heart, the meaning of this vision.

PHASE ONE: THE GLOWING FIRES
The Lord impressed on my heart that those fires I saw were groups of people whom He would make intensely hungry for New Testament Christianity. They would start reading their Bibles and saying, for instance, as they read the book of Acts, "Well, where is this happy church? Where are these people so full of the power of the Holy Spirit? Where are these miracles? Where is this growth, this vitality, this courage, this boldness that these people had? Is this for today - can we have it today? Should the church be this way?"

And as these questions were being planted in their hearts, the Lord Jesus said that He would make hem very hungry for the Holy Spirit. He would fill them with the Holy Spirit, and out of those gifts would flow ministries that would enrich the Body of Christ. The whole concept of the Body of Christ would come alive, and barriers between denominations and different types of Christians would break down as people met each other.

The Lord said He would move these people all over the country. After He had taught them gifts, He would move them to another place where they would carry the fire, and where they would meet others who are also being renewed by the Holy Spirit. He would put them in different situations from what they were used to so that they would get to know people of other denominations, other cultures and other classes, and be able to commniate to them the blessings the Lord had given them.

PHASE TWO: THE COMING OF THE LIGHTNING
Then I asked the Lord, "What does the lightning stand for?

And He said, "Unlike the first part in which I will be speaking to Christians and preparing My church and renewing it and reviving the saints, the lightning represents a second part of the vision, in which I will bring a spiritual awakening to the nation that will be a witness to the unsaved, to the un-churched, to the non-Christian.

Through these believers I will bring a witness to this land. They will be an army of witnesses. And I will begin to release their ministries so that when they give their testimonies there will be apostolic signs following and accompanying their testimonies. Where ears have been deaf and hearts have been hard and eyes have been blind, I will touch the people of this land and they will begin to hear the testimony of My people; they will begin to see the manifestations of My power, and their hearts will begin to believe.

Thousands and thousands of people are going to come into My kingdom through this army of witnesses, through this people movement - not characterised by any particular evangelist or great organisation at the front but just My people rising up, led by the Spirit and beginning to move forward with a new faith for evangelism, a new zeal to share Jesus with others. And as they give their testimonies I will release their ministries of healing and miracles and here will be signs and wonders accompanying their ministries. So many people will be saved, in the villages as well as in the cities, in the schools, in the government, in the media, in industry. It will affect the destiny of this nation; it will determine the course of the times.

PHASE 3: STREAMS ACROSS THE CHANNEL
Then I said, "Lord, what about these streams that go on across the Channel into Europe?" And He said, "That represents people who will rise up in the midst of this people movement, the army of witnesses in Britain, whom I will make My communicators."

Now I hadn't used that word very much in my ministry, said, "Lord, what do You mean by communicators?" And He said, "They will not only be people endowed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit with strong faith, but they will also be people talented in the arts. They will be writers, musicians, singers and actors, and also technicians in television, radio and the mass media. I will call and send them and put them in strategic places. I will bless their natural talents with My Spirit and they will be good, they will excel. They will be leaders in their fields. I will send them into Europe where they will meet other people in the media and through them I will release the word of God very fast in Europe. The result will be another wave of a spiritual awakening, with thousands coming to Christ throughout Europe."
